Government Scams - Part 1

The Nigerian Federal Government Scam. Scamming the Populace

The latest scam in town. The vehicle plate number scam by the FGN. Who came up with this ridiculous idea of having all Nigeria motorists change their existing plate number for these new ones. For a fee. An outrageous fee at that.
Each car owner is to pay a minimum of N35,000 for the new plates, officially. However, existing vehicle owners cannot seem to find these N35,000 plates anywhere. You can pick up your plates for as little as N45,000. Yes, some idiot came up with his idea. Out of a gazzillion spermatozoa, I wonder how the person/people behind this idea made it.
What ever happened to the current plates? What is wrong with making new car owners acquire the new plates while old car owners continue with the old plates.
With over 7 million cars (as at 2009) plying Nigerian roads. Do the math.
With a minimum wage of N18,000, which most State Governments have openly declared that they cannot afford. There is no hope for the poor this country. Charity, they say, begins at home.

New Year. New Life.

Happy New Year everyone. I know, I know, I know....... you've all missed me. In the last couple of months, I've been deeply engrossed in enough change and projects.

It is only right for me to say I am a very changed man now. Because I intend to make our society a sweeter place for us all.

Let's talk about the menace called NEPA or is it PHCN .... or whatever the bloody name they call themselves nowadays.

I strongly recommend that they should be scrapped. We don't need them. Let's know we have no light in this country

Nobody

In the words of M.I Abaga and Tuface Idibia "If nobody talks about you, then you are nobody. Whether na true abi whether na lie. My Guy.......... walahi."

Rejoice when people talk about you. It means you are recognized. It simply means that you are flying and they are crawling. For it is easier to be see all that's soaring up above than to see what crawls on the earth. That's why it 's easy for them to see you and talk sh!t, while they eat maggots and dust at the same time.

Keep doing your thing and their idle minds should continue staying idle for all they say only makes you stronger and more successful. Some people take pleasure in back-biting, starting unnecessary biff and a$$-kissing.

Nobody can stop your shine. Nobody!!!!

Mans Shortsighted Nature

The difference between MTN and Etisalat is called SEASON.

MTN came to Nigeria at a time when nobody wanted to invest in Nigeria, at a time when Nigerian did not have phones. Even Zenith Bank refused to loan MTN cash to operate, UBA rejected MTN’s offer but today see the difference.

At least we all know the story of the only civilian unelected President in Nigeria- Goodluck Johnathan.
We know how the people said he was not going to be President, they even made him acting-President. Today the rest is history.

What about Cowbell?
When they came to Nigeria, they made milk in a sachet, Peak was laughing at them- they said Cowbell was milk for the poor- but they were right! 3-million poor people could afford N10 a day for a sachet of milk. Do the math…3-million people buying milk at N10- that was N30 million every single day. In a month they grossed N900-million (almost N1 billion). Even Peak had to make sachet milk in order to survive in the market.

So what have people told you?
What have they said you cannot do, you do not qualify for, you do not have experience for?
They told Cowbell, they told Goodluck, they told MTN but the story has changed. I get the feeling that something is changing for you! Don’t listen to what people are saying or what life is showing you….

Be steadfast in your ways. Pray for God's grace and guidance. Work hard, work smart. Be focused. Do away with some old friends and bad habits. Make new friends who have a sense of  purpose, and add value to your life. Human beings are a creature of habit. So we cannot do without it. However, bad habits can be replaced with good ones. Never give up, erase your doubts and feed your greed. Watch yourself grow and flourish.

Keep on keeping on.

TGIF and have a great weekend!!!

The Voice of the People

Amazing how fast bad things escalate. N29k from a minimum of N85k. Hmmmmm. This outrageous amount. The ripple effect is fast increasing in diameter. From Abuja to Lagos to Bauchi.

Action they say, begets an equal and opposite reaction. From Shutting down Call Centers to shutting down shops to shutting down switch sites thus affecting mobile networks in Abuja and surrounding states. Seriously affecting revenue, churn, brand image and much more.

In this our "siddon-look' society, it's interesting to see young people stand up in the face of oppression and social and economic injustice which threatens to destroy our economy, our country and indeed the freedom of our children born and yet unborn. That they may not grow up in a world of slavery and that they should be free of oppression by legal and illegal immigrants.

The cry is getting louder and the people are becoming more aware. I advice that the Nigerian government intervene sensibly and the concerned parties favourably reverse their monetary and other staff welfare issues in favour of the people.

The Nigerian labour laws and practices must be revisited and reviewed to suit all Nigerian and not just a greedy few politicians. I believe the minimum wage should be reviewed to N60,000/month for non-graduates. Every single state can afford to pay this amount if the leaders are willing to put aside their greed and focus more on the people rather than on amassing personal wealth. As I see the beginning of the Nigerian uprising, if this situation is not resolved with wisdom.

The voice of the people they say.............. is the voice of GOD!!!

God bless Nigerian youths. God bless the Nigerian people. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The BV1000 Experience

Hello,

I will like to invite you to a new and exciting business which WILL change the way you look at life.

BonVoyage1000 is an international travel club for families, couples, and individuals who want to make world travel a part of their lifestyle. The company was incorporated in April 2010 and began operations in July 2010. Membership allows you to book accommodation directly through BonVoyage1000 travel partner, a 27-year old global consolidator of cruise, condominiums, hotels and resorts inventory all in 100 countries.  They buy travel wholesale and pass the savings on to you at significant discounts (up to 90%).  Membership fee is $350 (N65,000.00) one time payment. No renewals or monthly subscriptions.

Membership also opens a business opportunity to you where you can earn $1000 over and over again every time you cycle out. You only need to refer 2 sales, and they refer 2 sales each.  Once you have 6 new people in front of you, your matrix fills up, you cycle out (or cash out) and earn $1000 in commissions.  You qualify to earn the revolving $1000 commission once you introduce at least 2 people to join the club.  That's right, only 2 out of the 6 referred sales need to come from you!  However, if you want to cycle out frequently and earn multiple $1000 each time you do, then you need to continually introduce the opportunity to more people.

My plan is to be able to cycle out every day in the shortest possible time. That's $30000 (N4,500,000.00) every 30 days!!! That also goes for everyone who joins me.

I believe this opportunity will make sense to you for either one or all of the following reasons:
1.  You will enjoy huge discounts FOREVER every time you and your family decide to travel on international vacations and also benefit from discounts in local hotels even at home in Nigeria.
2.You can earn multiple $1000 commissions on a monthly, weekly or daily basis.
You decide exactly how much you want to earn.  I can assure you that I am already earning this revolving commissions on a regular basis since I took advantage of this opportunity in July 2011.

This is a GROUND FLOOR opportunity.  The company is just one year old worldwide and only 2 months old in Nigeria.  The potential is very HUGE!
Visit my website for more information about the company, products and compensation plan. It is www.bonvoyage1000.com/tonyobj. I invite you to join the club from my website.

Fill out the online registration form by clicking on the "Join Now" button.  You DO NOT have to pay at this time. I will explain how you can make payment.

Just lock in your spot NOW!!!

Sincerely,

Tony

I strongly urge you to Join NOW before BV1000 reaches critical mass.  As you know, in any business or venture, TIMING and POSITIONING is key.  This opportunity just took off worldwide and particularly in Nigeria.  Currently, there are less than 400 registered and fully paid members in Nigeria.  Trust me, this opportunity is
Incredible!

Know Your Call Center

Call Center Employees Who Were Denied Overtime Pay May Be Able to Collect Unpaid Overtime Wages

New York 10/04/2010 04:42 PM GMT (WooEB)

The overtime attorneys working with IQOvertime.com are available to review unpaid overtime claims from call center workers and customer service representatives who regularly work more than 40 hours a week and have been denied overtime pay. In general, customer service representatives and call center employees who do not meet one of the federal overtime exemptions, which are typically reserved for executive, professional and administrative employees, are entitled to receive 1.5 times their regular rate of pay for every hour worked in excess of 40 during a single workweek. If you have been denied overtime pay as a call center employee, visit http://www.iqovertime.com/call-center-and-customer-service-representatives-unpaid-overtime--41077.html to find out if you can collect back overtime pay.

Overtime violations can affect workers in any industry, and call center employees are not immune from these illegal wage and hour practices. In fact, APAC Customer Services Inc. agreed to pay $4 million to settle an unpaid overtime claim which alleged that the company failed to pay its customer service representatives proper overtime wages in violation of federal and state laws. Sprint/United Management Co. also faced three class action lawsuits on behalf of call center employees who alleged that the telecommunications company failed to pay wages and overtime in violation of federal labor laws. The collective action lawsuits settled for $8.77 million, which was divided into three separate settlement funds.

Call center employees who have been denied overtime pay may be able to file an unpaid overtime lawsuit to collect up to three years of back pay, as well as an equal amount in liquidated damages and attorneys’ fees. If you have been denied overtime as a customer service representative, visit http://www.iqovertime.com and complete the free case review form. The overtime lawyers working with IQOvertime.com are providing this initial consultation at no cost and remain dedicated to protecting the rights of employees who have been wrongfully denied overtime pay.

About IQ Overtime

My Father's Son

Thoughts of my father are mixed.
Growing up with a single parent was tough.
Especially when that single parent is a man.
A few bitter ones, but mainly fond thoughts.
Because I am my father’s son.

Bitter memories of the choices you made dad
But as I grew up and became a man
I found out they were corrective measures
to my lack of good judgement.
Because I am my father’s son.

I picked up a few habits
And trust me, all of the bad ones too.
Surprising how easy it is to pick up after older ones
What else can I say……
Well, I am my father’s son.

I realise today that I didn’t get the expensive toys I asked for
So I could be like my peers.
But that was so I could eat 3 square meals and have a better education.
The sacrifices you made, but my young mind, too selfish to understand.
But then………..
I am my father’s son.

I look at you now and smile
Because I know I contributed to your strong hands
From the all too frequent slaps and smacks I got for stepping out of line.
As my father’s son.

Look at me now dad.
I’m a better man today because of you.
Thanks for all the love, perseverance and understanding.
Thanks for all the sacrifices you made because of me.
For I am my father’s son.

This is just a note to let you know
I have never said it to you though
I could never have asked for a better father
And I appreciate you so.

I love you dad
I always have and always will
Because of you I am proud to say
I AM MY FATHER’S SON.

Happy Father’s Day
