Over 2500 APC Members in Lagos Cross-carpet to PDP

Over 2,500 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the guidance of Justice Group have left the party for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos.
According to reports, the leader of the group, Chief David Abidakun explained that they
are leaving the APC in Lagos and the south west.
“We are not counting the number of people here but our membership. We have a membership of over 70, 000 in the South West and all of us will join the PDP in our various states in the South West after the formal ceremony,” Abidakun said.
Explaining why the group left the APC, he said it was because they were being marginalised. “We believe that the PDP is a place to be and so we have decided to be part of the winning team.”
Lagos State deputy chairman of the PDP, who received the former APC members into the PDP, Chief Sikiru Apena, promised them that there will be a level playing field with existing members of the party.
