Scores of persons have been reportedly killed in Ukpabi, Nimbo in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State after Fulani herdsmen invasion in the early of hours of today.
Residence have reportedly fled to
neighboring communities amid severe panic.
Police in Enugu, however, confirmed the incident, saying its officers are on top of the situation.
It will be recalled that the Fulani herdsmen had earlier issued a threat about their plans to invade the community.
Fulani herdsmen have become emboldened in recent months with invasion of communities and killing of natives.
