As COVID-19 Cases Continue to Rise .....

My wonderful people, hope we all are keeping well. I wish to salute our patience at this time of lock down.

However, I wish to let you know the importance of our continuous staying at home at this time.

For those of us staying in Lagos and Environ, Lagos had been declared an Epicenter and for us as healthcare professionals, everyone in Lagos is a covid 19 suspect until proven otherwise.

This is for our safety as there are many asymptomatic cases of covid 19 now on the streets.

Furthermore, we have passed travel history to covid 19 area as yardstick to pick suspected cases. What we are now dealing with is community transmission cases of covid 19.

These are people who do not have travel history to Covid 19 pandemic area, in fact some do not even posses international passport, yet are
tested positive to the virus.

Worse still, many are not even exhibiting symptoms of the virus( asymptomatic cases).

This information is not designed to make you panic but for you to take decisions to protect yourself and your family.

I will talk on three important and unavoidably areas:

• Those of us that want to use ATM, please go along with your hand sanitizer which you have to use immediately you are done with the machine as it is an important and unavoidably but red flag area now.

• For our women that go out there to buy necessities to sustain the family please take it cool out there and ensure you maintain social distancing knowing fully well that other buyers may not.

• If you must be in any public place, please use your mask properly, covering your entire nose to your chin,  remember everyone is a suspect now.

• Pray for the safety of any member of your family whenever they are out of your home.

Please celebrate, pray and encourage our women that have to be in the market to shop and sustain the family. Markets now are marked red zone.

• Finally Your home is still the safest place to be as long as it is possible

*please stay at home, stay safe  !*
