John Terry’s Unbelievable Luck

John Terry’s reputation precedes him. He is, to put it nicely, outside the realms of Stamford Bridge, erm, pretty disliked.

And now, to add to his lists of indiscretions, the former England captain has made over £10 million profit for not doing very much at all.

Well, look - he's just sold his house. For £16m. For a humongous profit.

Terry bought the 'dream home' in Oxshott, Surrey in 2007 for £1.8m and proceeded to spend £4m renovating the property - in the expectation that he, his wife Toni and their twins would settle there.
The property really is quite something. It boasts an indoor swimming pool, a cinema and its very own carp fishing lake.

He was so pleased with his handy work that he declared the house his “dream home”.

However, when a mystery investor offered £16m for the nine-bed home, the Chelsea captain saw it as an offer he simply could not refuse.

What makes the sale of the property all the more remarkable is the fact that the property was not even on the market.

Some people have all the luck.
