The Nigerian army has arrested suspected Boko Haram member who disguised as a woman in Yola.
The terrorist was reported to have
confessed during questioning that about 30 members of his cell were in Yola and that he was on his way to reunite with them for operations.
Former chairman and CEO Timawus Mathias from Abuja posted this photos on his Facebook page.
He said: “A patrol in Yola this morning arrested this Boko Haram terror suspect disguised as a woman. He is reported to have revealed during interrogation that about 30 members of his cell are already in Yola and he was on the way to reunite with them.”
Mathias asked Nigerians to be more vigilant.
“Be more vigilant and suspicious folks. Report strangers with strange behaviour to authorities. On this note, our legislators need to clear the traffic light on the road to the Adamawa State House of Assembly of suspicious beggars,” he added.
This is not the first time Boko Haram insurgents have used women’s cloths and even preachers to cause havoc
Few weeks ago, Boko Haram militants disguised as preachers and killed at least 24 people and injured several others in an attack near a mosque in Borno state.
Also, Nigerian military on March 23, reclaimed Pulka town, Borno state from the Islamist sect. During the operations vigilant troops nabbed a suspected terrorist, who was wearing a hijab and disguised himself as a woman.
There were also reports that Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, reportedly had in the last few weeks changed his physical appearance.
